Why we exist: The Florida Cultural Alliance respects the vitally important and diverse roles arts and cultural resources play throughout our state. These arts and cultural resources help to develop and enhance Florida’s creative and innovation economy, schools and student achievement, health and wellness of citizens, tourism, urban and rural downtowns and communities, job growth, business relocation and retention, and quality of life for residents and tourists.
What we do: The Florida Cultural Alliance works to develop local, state, and national partnerships. These unique partnerships work together to initiate, coordinate, and strengthen advocacy, communications, research, culturally friendly policies, and educational efforts to advance arts and cultural resources throughout the state. Partnerships are critical to help sustain and build healthy and receptive environments for Florida’s diverse and vibrant arts and cultural industry to thrive. Strong support leads to higher quality and greater access for residents and visitors to experience what Florida offers in arts and cultural opportunities from Pensacola to Key West.

We Work To Achieve The Following RESULTS:

RESULT A: Increase and maintain state and federal appropriations for artists and arts and cultural organizations.
RESULT B: Improve and increase the arts and cultural industry's advocacy effectiveness.
RESULT C: Improve and broaden communication and understanding about Florida's cultural industry throughout the state and country.
RESULT D: Research and maintain accurate and updated arts and cultural statistics and information.
RESULT E: Identify, assist in the development of, advocate for, and monitor public policy issues, state and national legislation, and state and national programs which impact Florida artists, arts and cultural organizations, and arts education.
RESULT F: Represent the interests of Florida's professional, not-for-profit arts and cultural organizations and artists in a non-partisan manner to the Division of Cultural Affairs and Florida Arts Council; Florida Legislature; the United States Congress; and other statewide, regional, and national organizations.
RESULT G: Expand awareness of the vitally important roles the arts, culture, humanities, and arts education play in the qualitative and economic development of Florida schools and communities.
RESULT H: Inform and involve the media and other non-cultural groups in the promotional and overall development of Florida’s arts and cultural industry.
RESULT I: Increase arts and cultural organizational, individual, corporate, and foundation memberships in the Alliance.
